I am hoping someone reading this has had some experience with the USVI government to obtain a business license or professional license. I am under a timeline to get this accomplished in the next two weeks.

Let me begin by saying that I sent every required form and document with a money order for payment and followed the instructions to a T. The staff is saying that I did not send two important documents and I know that I did because I made a copy of everything that I sent to them.

If I call they put me on hold and never pick the phone up again.

I have been as patient and polite as possible. Should I just go do this in person?

Repost this on the relocation forum. Visitors know nothing about this sort of thing but someone on the other forum may be of assistance.

Absolutely go down there in person.

Take everything you have and take copies of the copies you have already sent them just in case they can't locate them. Go early so that the person you need to see is not on a break.

Be sure to keep your receipt as proof of payment for your license and make copies as it can take months, sometimes for the license to actually be sent to you. Most companies that deal with requiring licenses know how long it can take so will accept the receipt as proof of your up to date license until you actually do have it in hand. If you do not receive it, then you may have to call a couple times to remind them you have not yet received it.

I renewed my license in March one year and did not get the actual license until the end of August.
Have to admit that's the longest it ever took but it does happen.

thank you Alana and STT Resident.

I can not log in on the relocation board. My login is expired and I can not register either with my email address. Maybe a moderator will see this and approve my new cheesepotato login?

Thank you everyone.

If you go here:

http://www.vimovingcenter.com/info/messageboard.php

and scroll down you'll see there's an FAQ "I registered before but can't log in ..." which also includes a direct link to the moderator if the suggested fix doesn't work. That should do it!

Although this is very frustrating for you, please try to be cheerful, patient and pleasant when you go to them in person. Remember your opjective - to get the license.
