Will Blackberry with AT&T service work on the island? Any comments would be appreciated?

AT&T's cell service works on STT so your blackberry should work there as well. But then, which island are you inquiring about?

Sorry to sound stupid (maybe I've lived here too long), but what is Blackberry? I'm guessing some kind of cell service with AT&T?

Combination cell phone, wireless email (both send & receive), and palm pilot. It let's you keep in contact with work 24 hrs a day (fun!). I've my read emails "live" while I'm in a taxi in Hong Kong.

Simply put.....it's a "leash" (that your company puts on you).

My wife and I with a two other couples are headed to STT tommorow. Since we all work in the IT field we are always tied by Blackberrys, cell phones, pagers and laptops.

One of our requirments for our trip to the Carribean is to leave all that stuff behind.

That is why you go, to get away from it all.
