Since you were all so helpful on pizza ... I am hoping you assist in finding a birthday cake while on STJ:)
My mother will celebrate her birthday while we are on island a week from tomorrow. Part of me thinks that we should take her out to dinner and have a special dessert.
Another part of me KNOWS that she would really like to have a traditional birthday cake (this is the woman who when she was a child thought that they closed "town" in honor of her birthday, lol).
Thanks!
We ordered my sons 9th BDay cake from the Bakery at the Westin. Choc cake with Choc icing. The thing was sooo huge, never expected it to be that big.
Great, fabulous cakes at Baked in the Sun (had one last week for a friends birthday) they are located in The Marketplace - you can call them ahead of time and request all the flavours 340 693 8786 ..........yummmmy 🙂

Thanks for the feedback:)
I think we'll stop by Baked in the Sun ... where are they located?
On the upper level (level 3) of The Marketplace - where Starfish Market is if that helps.

Baked in the sun has amazing cakes. We had the strangest combo but it was INCREDIBLE. Chocolate cake with whipped cream, strawberries, and bananas in between the layers with Whipped cream white chocolate frosting.
It may be one of the best cakes I have ever had.
Baked In the Sun was it for me for years. Great cakes , sweets and sandwiches....but then I found Katilady Catering......and that's who I call now for any special event....but you can't go wrong with either. You could get two, one from each and have a cake tasting party.

My anniversary cake was from Baked in the Sun, yummee. Chocolate with mocha filling with buttercream icing. Not for everyone but for me-HEAVEN. And it was beautifully decorated as well. Better than any bakery cake I've ever gotten at home.
How far in advance do you need to order a cake?
