Hi :
I have a two year old and was wondring how easy it will be to get fresh milk etc from a grocery store nearby we are staying in Best Western Emerald Beach Resort., St Thomas and do not plan to take a rental car. Does any one have any experience I am not sure if the hotel can provide milk or let me warm milk for my 2 year old.
We were also planning to get a cooler there with milk etc but I first wanted to check with experts. also I have heard that the St stomas food is expensive does any one know if they have fast food joints and how far they are from Best Western Emerald Beach Resort., St Thomas and how much a cab will cost for two persons to go to the nearest grocery store../fast food places liken subway / mcdonalds etc.
Many thanks in advance...
Jack
Hello Jack,
Nisky Center is pretty close by; there is a subway and Dominos pizza there. Also a bakery is located very close to Nisky Center where you can get fresh bread, donuts, sandwiches... Pueblo Supermarket is in the same area so you can get milk. In Crown Bay Marina which again is closeby (but not in the same exact location as Nisky Center but quite close) there is a smaller market where you can also shop; also at the Marina is Tickles Restaurant where you can get casual, good dining and not expensive. (Distance to Nisky and Marina areas - maybe a 3-4 minute drive.)
Find out if your room has a microwave and a small refrigerator.

I'm pretty sure all rooms have small refrigerators...not sure about microwaves. Mine didn't.
