I was wondering if anyone has any experience with this hotel in Christiansted? I am planning to come to St. Croix, and this looks like an inexpensive, halfway decent place to stay. However, I can find only 2 reviews on the entire Web.

Thanks for any help!

Bill.
You also might want to check out the Hotel Caravelle, right next door on the boardwalk. Stayed there a while back and can recommend it highly. Website is www.hotelcaravelle.com Great restaurant too (Rumrunners.com)!

I appreciate the advice. However, I am interested in the Holger Dansk in part because I have a whole ton of credits for the Best Western rewards program. If anyone knows anything about this place, I'd love to hear!
Thanks.

It looks sort like it needs some work from the outside. Don't know for sure. Call and talk to the management at the hotel. It is not the first choice of anyone I know.

Hi Bill,
We have stayed at the Best Western Holger Dansk in Christiansted, St. Croix - last year in February 2003. And, we will be staying there again in February 2004. It is "fairly inexpensive and a half way decent". We find we don't spend much time in the hotel room except for sleeping and showering. So, what is important to us is that it was clean and that the air conditioning was sufficient - which it was. The rooms also have a sink and refrigerator, and a fairly good sized square balcony with lounge chairs. It's close to the boardwalk, Rum Runner's restaurant, and shops within walking distance off of the boardwalk. It's also a close walk to the Sea Plane if you plan to island hop to St. John or St. Thomas. The parking lot area was small, but we rented a Jeep and we had no trouble getting in or out of the parking area. The staff were friendly and helped us with any questions or concerns we had. We had a good experience and will go back to that hotel. Hope this helps you.
