Just curious - we are flying in to STT from Atlanta on Delta airlines. Does anyone know what landing routes the planes take? I want to make sure we get seats for the kids to see the islands as we arrive and for me to get a couple of arial shots. Would you recommend seats on the right or left side of the plane?
I don't know what other islands you'll see, but pay close attention on descent to the STT airport....the plane will apppear to be landing in the water becauset he end of the runway (the end that you will touch first) ends at the water. At this point, ST Thomas is only visible on the left side of the plane. So, for a visual of STT, I vote for the left.
Steff has a good idea of what it's like. However, sometimes they fly south around the east end of St. Thomas, where you can see St. John and the BVI from the left window, and then they turn to the west, and circle around to the east to approach the runway. My vote is left side of the window.
Hello,
On the left you will see the west end of the island, Brewers Bay, UVI... so left.
You can take an aerial tour by helicopter if you really want to check the island out by air.
