What are the best sites for daydreaming about the Virgin Islands? By far this one is the best, with the hands down best message board, but for example, I love the webcam at St. Johns dock (mentioned in an earlier post). And I also love the picture of Marina Cay on the Pussers website.

What are some of your favorites?

Thanks Pia - I expected a bigger response on this one, but thanks for responding. I find it interesting after reading this message board for a couple of months now the things that spark peoples interest.

I will check out those 2 sites. Much appreciated.

It isn't very good manners to ask for addresses to competitive websites, maybe that is why you aren't getting any response! 😉

Gotcha East Ender.

I didn't think about it that way, but when I saw someone mention the St. John's webcam (on another site), I wondered what some other favorites were of folks on this forum.

As I said, this is definitely the best. If anything, after reviewing a bunch of others, it only reinforces the fact that this site is so good.

I understand what you are saying though. Thanks.

I want to pipe in for just a second. I look at alot of boards in the process of planning other trips. I think that in many cases, this is a networking kind of recommendation location -this fabulous board may be the best but there may be topics that we don't cover here, or that don't generate a response and the message boarder has a right to know all the options. For example, I look at the Trip Advisor site, the Fodors Forums, and checked out the Lonely Planet forum. There are situations where one of these other boards may attract the kind of readers who would have the response the inquirer is asking about that frequent boarders here don't address. So I don't think it takes anything away from the wonderfulness of this extremely helpful board to open up our experiences (in a way) by mentioning other boards. Aren't we all here to help each other out??

Wow - didnt mean to start a debate! Just wondering if anyone else had any favorites out there (like the St. John webcam, which nobody seems to have a problem with).

And just to clarify, I wasnt necessarily talking about forum sites, just any favorite sites out there. As I said, I just like looking at the picture of Marina Cay on the pussers.com website.

I have been impressed with everyones knowledge on this forum, didn't mean to start anything.

Can't we all just get along? (ha ha)

I have a few favorites (sorry if these are repaeats of others):
www.skinnylegs.com
www.bongobongostjohn.com/blog5/ (this is page five, you might want to start at the beginning)
http://www.woodysseafood.com/ (has drink recipes and weekly photos)

I also visit 2 other forums: the St John forum on TripAdvisor and the virgin-islands-on-line forum (or something like that). I don't prefer one over the others and visit all of them regularly. This forum has the best format out of all of them!
