This is a question to residents/previous visitors. If you had enough time to visit just one beach and were looking for the very best snorkel site, which would it be?

Thanks.

Hands down: waterlemon cay. My boyfriend and I just returned from a fabulous 10 day vacation on St Johns (may 22 to May 31 2002)...we returned to waterlemon for a second round of snorkelling. The first time we saw a huge school of fish the moment I put my head in the water, followed by a nurse shark about 4 feet long, and 2 turtles. On our second visit we spent the entire day at Waterlemon. We saw 3 sting rays, including a spotted one, wonderful starfish, swam out to the "cay" and ooed and awed at the coral reefs and saw more turtles. Also giant hermit crabs. Absolutely loved this spot.

We also snorkeled at trunk bay, hawksnest, salt pond bay, cinnamon bay, maho bay.

I also recommended HIKING - we did Rams trail, reefs, Leinster, Cinnamon Bay Trail.

So much to do on such a small wonderful Island. St John's is paradise.
Feel free to email me if you have more questions.
Jessica
