Please help 1st time Virgin Islands visitor. Our group has a total of 6 adults and 3 kids land in St. Thomas and plan to stay 1 week. 4 Adults (including 1 pregnant person) and 3 kids probably just stay near the beach area of the hotel and 2 adults would roam around the islands most of the time. Option 1: Should we just rent a compact SUV when we get to St. John for 2 adults to roam around or Option 2: should we get a large SUV for all 9 people for the whole week or Option 3: should we get 1 compact SUV for 1 week and 1 midsize SUV for a few days just in case?
For the family with kids and pregnant woman, is there any must see place for these people?
Great appreciate any input.

For a group this size, I would definitely recommend 2 vehicles, much more flexibility.
You have a few options, I am assuming that you are staying on STJ, but not clear so I am going with that.
1. Rent 2 SUV's on STT. Pick up at airport, drive across island, take the barge to STJ. This will give you a smooth arrival and everyone will want to explore STJ. Trust me.
2. Rent a private taxi at the airport (arrange ahead of time) to Red Hook, take the ferry and then rent 2 SUV's on STJ.
