We're going on the Carnival Victory this week to St. Thomas and St. Marteen.

We try not to book via the cruise ship b/c they're usually too expensive and crowded. Does anyone know of a private snorkeling comapny that will take us around?

Brian,

I'll tell you what my wife and I did, when we cruised Carnival. We rented a Jeep at Budget in Havensight and then went to St. John.

We drove straight over the island - it's a beautiful view from the top. Then we took the ferrry to St. John and drove the North Shore. The North Shore road is AMAZING and not to be missed. There are lots of places to snorkle on the Northshore including: Jumbie, Trunk, Hawksnest, Cinnamon, and Waterlemon.

If you don't want to go to St. John, a taxi ride to Coki Beach will give you a great snorkling experience. The last time we were there, we saw a turtle, but the best thing about Coki are the fish. The fish are tame, and will eat from your hand. And because they're overfed, they're also a little bigger than the fish that have to fight to stay alive on a normal reef.

Have a wonderful time. The USVI is Paradise.

John
