My summer vacation plans just changed and it looks like we will be able to head back to St. John.
My question is: What is the best way to go about getting the cheapest room for the first week of September? Is the Starwood website the way to go, or can we get a better rate through another vehicle? Responses for Caneel would be appreciated as well.
So far, we've been able to find $219 for a Garden view. And for Caneel we found $295 for a garden view as well.
I realize that those are pretty low, but if anyone has any other booking suggestions, I would greatly appreciate them.

The $219 rate is very good for the Westin, and I usually go thru Starwood, or you can try travelocity. The lowest rate I ever seen the Westin offer was a rate of $199.
Check Ebay...You won't find Westin hotel rooms, but I've had good luck with St John Westin timeshare villa rentals there. Right now there is a three bedroom pool villa in sept listed at $2,000 for a week. Pretty good deal.
It's hit and miss though...
You could try redweek.com It's a site for people unloading timeshare weeks. It's 100% hit or miss though. But, I've seen good prices for other places.
If you go to the Westin's special page, you can find a deal for $190 a night and you also get a $200 hotel "credit" during your stay.
