We have never been to the USVI and are planning a trip to St. Thomas this year. We are thinking of either late June or late Nov. early Dec. Any seggestions on the better time for weather, activities, etc. We are also looking for the least crowded time, since we want to avoid the busy season. The plan is to rent a villa if we can just get plane tickets less than 800 each. We would also appreciate advice on the best guidebook or info to purchase for our trip. We mostly enjoy good restaurants and low key site seeing. Any information and advice is greatly appreciated.

Late June is probably cheaper as it nearing the end of season i.e. the beginning of hurricane season. June/July is Carnival on ST. John - always fun. It's warm that time of year but usually very pretty. November and December are beginning of season. November the last few years has been terribly rainy. Mid December has a wonderful Miracle on Main STreet festival and Lighted Boat Parade. Hope this helps.
