I am trying to plan a trip to St. Thomas and would like to get some advice on when the best time of year to visit is with regards to the weather. I know there are no absolutes, but I was wondering when are the historic ideal months to travel?

Thank you all,

Kelly

Kelly-

I am no expert on weather, but you lonely little post is sitting here 24 hrs later so I'll try to help. People seem to love the weather in Jan, Feb and March. Now, maybe the illusion of this being the "best time" is assisted by the fact that it's freezing in the Notheast at that time. But, that's when everyone loves the weather.

I don't go then because I don't get the best deals on that time of year (high season) and I'm a major bargain hunter.

Maybe others who visit in both the high and low seasons can compare for us all.

Click the "Weather" link in the upper right corner of the page for detailed info, but for the most part, our weather is the same all year, with a variation of 5 or 6 degrees difference in the highs from the coldest part of winter to the hottest part of summer. So, with regard to weather HERE, it really doesn't matter. Winter is a more popular tourist season, due to the cold temps in America during that time.

Hello Kelly,

Check out the weather section, the link is in the top right corner of this page, there are average temps, rainfall averages etc. by month.

January through April are not as hot as other months, granted its only a few degrees cooler but for some it makes a difference. Like right now its very hot which is usually the case in late July through September. Also January through April aren't months that we expect much rainfall, again only a matter of a couple inches - not a huge difference but still it does mean less chance of rainy days.

Overall we have only very slight variations in our weather when comparing month to month. Basically its always summer here :D. Check out the weather section.

I wonder if humidity is a factor in summer months. I usually travel to STT in May and early June. This last trip was a July trip and I just about melted from the humidity. It felt much hotter than it does in May and June. Maybe it's just a hot summer down there - but it felt really humid.
