I'm going to St. Thomas next week, can anyone tell me what the BEST restaurants are on the island for Caribbean food? I'm not interested in French, Italian, Japanese, can get all those at home.
I hear Cuzzin's mentioned, but what else is great food? ANY price range OK, but it's gotta be kinda clean at least.
Hi There,
In addition to Cuzzins, if you want good west indian food you can try two other places: Glenda's in Smith Bay or Gladys' which is downtown near Cuzzins.

Thanks, Schultz.
If you had to pick just one of them, which would you go to?
Hi Again,
For lunch I would pick Gladys' or Cuzzins. They are equally good.
For dinner I would go to Glenda's. The homemade pepper sauce they make and give you in little recycled plastic Pepsi bottles is fabulous. If you go there, make sure you ask for some, it's usually not on the tables.

Try Banana Tree Restaurant in Bluebeards Castle. Even Room with a View is good and also at Bluebeards. We have been going to St. Thomas for five years and go back every year to eat there.
Monica
Hi Monica,
I like both Banana Tree and Room with a View, but I don't remember either of them as offering much in the way of caribbean or west indian food.

Did Gladys' for lunch, wasn't too impressed, unfortunately. best meal of the trip was Off the Hook, in Red Hook.
