We go to ZoZo's for our annual celebration dinner. If you go early, you can watch the sun set over STT from their upstairs bar/lounge area. We've always had a great dinner - do make reservations ahead so you can get a great table. Last time, we were impromptu guests and they made space for us at a table pretty much right on the wait staff travel path. Meal was awesome, not very romantic - so plan ahead.

Good Luck! Have Fun!

What night is shrimp night at the Lime Inn? They were closed last year, but we want to do that this year.

We loved Morgan's Mango, and we might try the Monday night buffet at Caneel. It looks beautiful. You don't have to stay there to eat there.

I keep hearing great stuff about Hinds' Restaurant. No view, but great food. On the pricy side and takes cash only at this point.

Some people like Waterfront Bistro, some say it's so-so. The location is beautiful.

We prefer La Tapa and the new Waterfront Bistro is very good.

Cheers, RickG

If I'm not mistaken -- and I could be because they were closed last year -- Wednesday nights is all-you-can-eat shrimp night at the Lime Inn. I think you need to get there early.

If I am wrong, please correct me.

Morgan's Mango
We ate there the 22nd based on a recommendation from a Coral Bay local (great character!). The chicken curry soup was good, though a bit on the lukewarm side.

The Lomo com Chimi Churri (filet mignon) was VERY good, but (there's always a "but") the sides were so-so. Mashed potatoes were gummy and the zuchini was bitter. My wife had the Voodoo Snapper which rates a "good", but the black-eyed peas side was fantastic.

Are you back already?

When I had the filet-stuffed lobster, I remember the potatoes were excellent, but the steamed veggies were just so-so. Luckily, you don't worry too much about sides when you're eating a lobster stuffed with steak (which was heaven on a plate).

I have been wondering about the voodoo snapper, so maybe I'll try that this time.

Nope, we're not back. I'm posting from my laptop on the porch overlooking Cruz Bay. 😎

I'm so jealous. I want to be there now. I'm glad y'all are enjoying yourself.

I never check in when I'm there. No laptop for me.

Do you have Internet at your villa? Any advice for us? We leave tomorrow :@) Are you enjoying island time? Can you tell my excitement is building? You should see my husband he is acting like it is Christmas eve.

My recommendation is to leave the laptop at home. And then, once you meet your villa greeter and don't need your cell phone anymore, put it and your watch in a drawer.

It makes Island Time easier, and if you don't get on island time, you won't enjoy St. John as much.

I am already starting to get excited for my trip, which is still six weeks away, so I'm sure you are beyond words with anticipation.

Have a good time and take lots of pictures!
