You should go ahead and look through the beach guide on the St. Thomas guide on this web site. You can go to any of the beaches listed there, there are photos and descriptions so you can see whcih one sounds like it would fit what you are looking for. With children Magens Bay or Sapphire Beach would be good choices. You can take a taxi to get there. The prices for taxis are located in the St. Thomas guide under getting around - taxi, the rates are listed for many destinations, just look thorugh the chart and find where you want to go.

If you see several beaches you like, post again and others can give opionions of which is better, or prefered.

The list above, is of Taxi associations. At the cruise ship dock however there are always taxis waiting, so it is not necessary to make a pre arranged taxi appointment.
