I was wondering where I can get some nice beach-themed jewelry (necklaces especially) at a reasonable price on the island. By reasonable I mean under $200, and something casual and has anything like palm trees, sand dollars, starfish, or even hook braclets? Is there any pieces of jewelry that symbolizes the island that can only be bought there?
Also.. how far is Woodys from the ferry docs Is it within walking distance?
Thanks
I would recommend this place. http://stjohnjewelers.com/ They are right after you get off the dock next door to JJ's. Woody's is one block past there, a five minute walk at best.

StJohnBound,
Caravan Gallery in Mongoose Junction has some really cute sterling silver starfish/cz necklaces for about $40 w/chain. Don't know if they have earrings to match. I like the starfish, because it can be worn year-round as a star, too. They might also have other beach-themed jewelry, but they must not be as cute as that starfish, or I'd remember it!
Almost all of the stores have hook bracelets, and prices for sterling silver usually start at probably less than $50. The larger/thicker the bracelet, the more it'll cost. IYou can also get hook bracelets with larimar, which makes them more feminine, IMO. f you want gold, well, somebody else will have to tell you where to go, because I don't think I've ever worn gold!
I also like the blister pearl jewelry, though I don't know who has it on St John. In fact, almost anything with shell and sterling silver I like.
I have to 2nd Caravan gallery ,I bought my hook bracelet there and it is different thatn most I seen on the island .The hook is different and instead of smooth finish it is etched looking like wood carving. I also fell in love with the starfish necklace ,I have to have it!!
Woody's is a 1 minute walk from the ferry dock. If you are looking for a fun bar with a 30 second walk, get off the ferry and take a right. The Beach Bar is a great place to kick back and have a drink.
Thanks for the info. I fell in love with some of the stuff on the StJohnJewelers website. and caravan too. Looks like I need to save an extra $300+ just to buy me something special.
As for Ferry, you guys are referring to Red Hook right. I'm thinking that's the fastest from St John. DCL only is at port from 8 to 4:30 and I wanna spent most of my time in STJ.
