My man and I plan to "tie-the-knot" while docked in St Thomas. We would like any suggestions on a beach area for a very casual wedding with only 4 of us present. We don't want fancy just beautiful beach area w/trees.....a great photo backdrop. I would love any suggestions that are unique!!!! I am not usually the typical type of person so why should my wedding be any different. Plans are for Sept. Thanks!!!!

I see a lot of weddings at Magen's Bay. One there today, in fact. Cute couple. So young looking, made me want to reach for my Geritol.

Nancy -

Great plan to marry in the most beautiful place in the world!!! We married on Hawksnest Beach on St John (mentioned by Island Paul). Our wedding was also during a cruise port stop.

Here is a link to a review I posted here on vinow after the wedding (might have to copy/paste it):

Hi!

I got married on St. John. We rented a sailboat (The True Love, same boat used in the old movie "High Society"), and they took us out to Henley Cay near Caneel Bay Resort. It was an incredible experience, and pretty affordable compared to what you pay for a full-on wedding(It was around $1500 for 17 people). This included food for the day, full day sailing, and snorkeling after the wedding. I highly recommend it. I can't find their current website, however, so I am uncertain if they are still in business. I would go to this website and contact the man, Bill Dove, who runs it and see if he knows if they still are still around.

Also, a lovely lady named Anne Marie Porter married us. She was wonderful! She can also suggest to you beaches to get married at if you don't want to do the sailboat thing.
