I looked at fishing charters but they are way out of my price range. Can you beach fish on St John? Are their certain areas to fish, etc?
Yes you can fish off the beach. General guidelines are..... if you are within National park waters, catch and release only. Best time is early am.... around sunrise. Try not to fish in swimming areas as you will get the evil eye from beachgoers.
If you are looking for a charter, have heard that Loren Nickbarg is good but have no experiece with him so I can't really say although he has been featured in Saltwater fishing magazine. Also try the guys at http://www.southof20.com/index.html. They are based out of STT though so don't know if they do STJ.
What type of fishing are you looking at?
