Some time back someone mentioned a store that carries bathing suits only. It was in town. Can anyone remember or know what store & where it is. ?

The only one I can think of is the "Bikini Store" in Port of Sale Mall (basicall, Havensite, but in the section with blue buildings towards the North end of the cruise ship dock...pretty much directly across from the Paradise Point Skyride). I'm not aware of one in town, but that doesn't mean much...anyone else?

Not sure about a place that sells only bathing suits but I used to shop at a place called D'illy D'Ally in town - great stuff - lots of bathing suits, cover ups, nice cool linen stuff. In fact, they were on two floors and the entire upstairs was all bathing suits and cover ups. I hadn't seen it advertised for awhile and assumed it was gone but when we were down last May I noticed it in the strip mall that has the smaller K-Mart - Lockhart Gardens. Looked it up in the VI online phone book 340-776-5006 - you could call and ask what they are carrying.

Good luck -

As much as I buy local because I'm here, I love the tan-thru swimwear so get them online. Just a thought!

STTRes,
I've only seen them in catalogs, and never knew anyone who ever had one.
I like the idea of tanning through your suit. Does it really work??
I'd certainly have to wear a little sunscreen on the trunk section of my chaise, still.
Hasn't seen a lot of UV's

DreamConch: Yes, they work, worn them for years. The fabric is generally SPF 10. Check them out on a google. Cheers!

Carole:

I do believe it is in Havensight near the Pharmacy and perhaps a Payless Shoe Store. We were at the mall looking for jewelry in June and i'm pretty sure a bathing suit only store was over in that area or nearby.

May not even be there anymore but there was a store for many years on the waterfront that carried Gottex - a small white building that also had some high-end men's shoes or clothes if I remember on the way to Palm Passage. Didn't have alot. Don't remember seeing it in March but then I wasn't looking for it.

CShell: You are describing Cosmopolitan, and it is no more.

There used to be a store in one of the alleys called "Just Add Water" but I think it may be gone also.

Not downtown, but Morningstar Beach Shop has a nice variety of suits.
