Hi There,

We are staying at Sapphire Beach and was wondering about the proximity of bank machines in the area of Red Hook and Sapphire Beach that support the PLUS system?

Are there any fees for withdrawing?

Would prefer not to carry travellers cheques or too much cash around with us if possible. But being from Canada we will lose money on the exchange.

Cheers!

there is a first bank within 100 yards along the same road as the ferry, right before american yacht harbour... and there is a banco popular inside the complex across the street.

there are likely to be small charges for using the atm's... $2 per transaction, and your bank may charge something as well, so ask 'em. our atm's are on the plus system.

Hit the machines early
Sometimes vistors can run them dry
They do their best to keep them filled
But on Saturday Night at 9PM you may be surprised when the machine is empty

You can also make a right out of Sapphire and find Picaso's Coffee Bar about a mile away. They usually keep their ATM machine filled .

There's one right in the lobby at Sapphire, but it was down a couple times when I tried to use it.

There's also internet access in the lobby too. You pay by the minute, but it really wasn't that expensive and really nice for printing your boarding passes on your way home.
