I must be hungry, my last two posts have been about food. Are there any bakeries on the island where you can get fresh and made daily danish, croissant, muffins, doughnuts, cakes, cookies etc....
Depends on where on STJ you are staying. In Cruz Bay there is a place in the the lumberyard ("Baked in the Sun" I think) on centerline across from the Texaco station, that has yummy stuff. They don't open til 9:00 am (I think). Would love to have a local straighten' me out (or confirm it)
The Grotto Deli in Mongoose Junction (downtown Cruz) has muffins and scones which were really good and only $2.00. Their sandwiches and wraps were also good if you have breakfast there, pick up some for a beach outing in the afternoon.
Baked in the Sun is in the Marketplace upstairs from where Starfish Market is. It is not in the Lumberyard. There is a good place for breakfast in the Lumberyard called Chilly Billys. If you are in Coral Bay the great place for breakfast is M&M donkey place.
I would second that on Grotto Deli (but I thought it was Deli Grotto or am I just being dyslexic?) Blueberry scones are quite awesome - better than anything we had a Baked in the Sun in terms of grab n go stuff.
