Good Morning!
My husband, daughter and I will be visiting St. Croix next week. I was just wondering how we were going to get our formula down there. She can only take Enfamil A.R. with Lipil, everything else gives her terrible acid reflux and we would really like to enjoy our vacation instead of going through the pain of switching formula.
She goes through a lot of it. I'm going to need 4 large (24 oz.) cans. I've tried taking the formula in the can, but with the change in air pressure the can exploded in the suitcase. So I just want to ask before I try to take 4 large ziplock baggies full of white powder to the airport. 🙂
Also, how much is it ($25 a can here in Arkansas) and how do you keep it from clumping from humidity? Fridge?
Thanks in advance!
The Burdens
Plaza Xtra on STT carries loads of baby formula and I'm sure the Plaza Xtra on STX does likewise. I don't know about price but hopefully you'll get good feedback from the STX posters on this one. Cheers!
I just got back from STT with my 10 month old daughter. She eats SEVEN containers of size #2 Gerber puree daily. I was debating on packing it or buying it there. Ends up we packed it, I had to pay $25 for an extra suitcase on Delta because she needed 13.5 lbs of food, but it was WELL WORTH it because a 2pk cost me 88 cents here in the US and at Plaza Xtra it would have been $1.98 for a 2 pk (we brought 40 2pks so that saved us $40 minus the $25 fee but more room on the way home for stuff we bought! You can take it on board with you, but I'd leave it in the can (sealed) so no questions are asked.
Hope that helps!
