Just checking to see if banks or hotels have ATM machines on the islands. Yes - I know it's a stupid question btu a few of our tours we are planning to go on offer cash discounts and I don't feel comfortable walking around with all that cash on me. I'd prefer to take it out the day of our trips and then give it tour our guides.

Does anyone know if the Wyndham has an ATM or is there a bank on the east side of the island?

There are two ATM machines in Red Hook around the corner of the island from Wyndham. First Bank and Banco Popular. At the Tutu Mall you'll find several. Two in K-mart and another at Scotia Bank.

Thanks. I'm sure we'll have a great time and most things I am going to charge on AMEX - but saving money by paying cash is always nice. I just didn't want to carry all that money around with me.

I've been reading the local papers via the internet - I've seen stories on a lot of crimes lately. Is this normal?
