Hi I am thinking about coming down for a month and checking the islands out I found a 1 bedroom with water view in Peterborg for 1200 a month ,do any Islander know much about that area is it a nice area or run down area,is it densly populated ,can I access other parts and islands easily ,any info thank you

It is on the north side of the island by Magen's bay. Very beautiful and nice area with lots of million dollar homes. If you can stay in Peterbourg for 1200 I'd go for it. You can acess downtown and the east end pretty easily.

It is a very high end area -- not run down - not densely populated -- somewhat remote - not accessible to any kind of transport other than private car or taxi by arrangement - generally windy , dry and if it is on the Magens side hot at sunset - it is centrally located on the middle of the Northside of the island and has [mostly] expensive single homes and rental villas.

sounds like a great deal to me, I booked marriott for 1 week at 2k. and petorborg is a nice area near magens and mohagany run

Nice area, centrally located, should be good. Unless you live IN Red Hook or Town, you need a vehicle for the most part!
