My Fiance and I are booked at the Morning Star Hotel for 11 days in August and we were wandering if this is a good choice. We have never been to St.Thomas before and would like to make it the best experience ever! We chose the ocean view room has anyone ever stayed in one of these rooms in the Morning star?

Hello Jacque,

The Morningstar is a nice property, you have use of two properties so several restaurants and pools, nice view, good beach. What are you looking for in a resort... do you plan to spend most of your time there or are you planning on lots of tours, shopping, beach hopping?

Oh we are going to do some island hopping for sure and we are going on a one day sail on a sail boat. We also want to just lay around and get some sun. We are going to be on the island for 11 days so we have plenty of time. I definantly want to go shopping! 🙂 So far the feedback on the resport has been all good.

I love Morningstar! Where we live/lived (still have the house) is just up the hill from Morningstar, and the view is really nice. (Nice enough that my wedding pictures were taken on that beach...that should say alot!). It's close to everything. 5 minutes from Havensite, 8 minutes from town, and just about halfway from town to the East End. I may be a little biased, but it's one of my favorite areas of the island...plus you can see the cruise ships coming in and out! (Great view to veg out with a drink in your hand!)

Awesome! Thank you for the info. My travel agent said it was the best place to stay so I just trusted her. Can you reccomend any restaurants? Maybe your favorites?
