We hired "Lion In Da Sun" last Thanksgiving week while vacationing on St. John. Prior to our trip, I read all the posts about which was the best BVI charter. Well, my family of 7 (Iowa, Ilinois and NYC) was all in an agreement we wanted to do a day trip but it was dad's job to book the charter. From other posts, I came to the conclusion, that a small boat where we could plan our own day was the way to go. Lion In Da Sun with Josh (co-owner/captain) made our day a memorable one. I knew what points of interests,beaches and snorkeling we wanted to do and he made it happen. As for the cost -- I am pretty sure it was equal to or even a little less than the other charters. We really like the personal touch and would recommend to you -- "Lion In Da Sun"

We are headed to ST. John usvi in august and are looking for 2 people to joint our day trip with Lion in Da Sun. Have you gone yet? They have August 11, 12 and 13 open. Let us know.

If you have already been - how was it?

I wish I could join you. We went on Lion in Da Sun on June 18. It was by far the best day of our vacation. Check out Sandy Spit and White Bay on Jost. We had a great lunch at Taboo. We took a day trip through lion in da sun on June 24th and had the best day! It was nice being able to go wherever you wanted and the boat was very comfortable. We go to snorkel, go to foxy's, sandy spit, and soggy dollar. Best day of our vacation. Our captain Jordan was great!

I have to ad to the positive reviews for Josh and Lion In Da Sun. We did a charter with him in November with another couple and had a great time. Nice well kept boat. The cats are allot more stable if it gets choppy. I am a licensed captain and have done the BVI trip myself on bare boats, when we started looking the cost difference to have Josh isn't much, and with Josh running the boat I could have a few painkillers and Caribs along the way. 🙂
