🙂 I lived in the USVI for 11 years from 1991 to 2002, commuting back and forth between my bi-island existence between St. Thomas and St. Croix. After being 'stuck' in Connecticut for 7 years, I now reside in (most of the time) sunny Orlando, Florida. Oh but I do still miss 'de islands dem'. Looking to network and socialize with other X-islanders who still long to return to the islands.

I lived on STJ from 95-2000 and now I live in CT and we have similar screen names.

gal: I went to a meeting in Orlando a couple of years ago and when I was making my hotel reservation, I discovered that the young lady in reservations was from St Thomas. She said she had no intention of returning home! I hear other people talk about relatives in the area. Maybe a newspaper ad??

There is a whole collection of us! www.sttbacchanal.com and we get together once a year at different locales around Florida. Just so happens that this year's mash-up is at the MAYAN INN, 103 S. Ocean Ave., Daytona this year and it is happening next weekend 30 April and 1 May; there is a function somewhere on the pool deck; the hotel (386-252-2378) or web-site can give you more info, Mighty Whitey will hum a few tunes, like that, most likely there will be some rum drinks and a coupla Greenies consumed . . . this is just a mini-fett because this year they have a cruise ship function planned also. You are more than welcome to show up and say hey; that's what it's all about . . .
