I know the answer is probably not. But I saw a road race being run in Charlotte Amalie when I docked there in February on a cruise and then one the very next day in St. Croix.
Maybe high season with more participants and no threat of storms means that is when you hold them in the VI as opposed to August.
I am down for a week in mid-August and will also be in the midst of training for a half marathon at that point. I can always do the treadmill or run around the grounds/road where I am staying. But if there happen to be a race anywhere on St.Thomas or St. John 8/17 through 8/22, it would be a fun thing to combine my training and my stay.
I know it is hot but the climate won't be much different than VI in February or where I live in August so that's not a concern. I'll be training all summer in similar conditions.
Thanks for any information.
