I am not sure how much you are wanting to spend, but check out VRBO's website. You are able to see the actual condo you will be staying in, not just "any" condo on the property. When we came last December / January, we stayed at Sapphire. Our room was SO much nicer than they advertise. We had started out at Pavilions and Pools and our room was crap compared to their advertising. If you check out VRBO you are renting from a personal owner not a company. So the room you view pictures of is the room you get. Cowpet Bay is very pretty and isn't too far from Red Hook.
Here is a nice 3 bedroom located there .... 3 Bedroom on Cowpet Bay

Maybe you should check out Sapphire. Go onto VRBO and look for 3 bedrooms. It's a beautiful beach with great snorkeling and close to Red Hook and the ferries.

After coming to St Thomas for 20+ years, this year we stayed at Point Pleasant for the first time. We found the housekeeping and overall cleanliness far below what we expected. The ac was loud and did not cool the condo, it was on a 6 hour timer that shut off in the middle of the night, needless to say we didn't sleep well. The pillows and other items that we purchased we then donated to somebody we knew on the island. So we chalked it up to going camping since we shared the condo with many lizards. We didn't stay in the condo much, we enjoyed eating out at our favorite restaurants and we always love coming back to St Thomas for the island secenry.

Pictures of the PP condo looked great on the surface. We loved the views which were fantastic as we knew they would be having visited the property many times over the years. Although we love the east end, it seems in a state of flux that is long overdue for attention.

Hope this helps

To the best of my knowledge there are no 3BR units at Sapphire and only one unit which has 2 full bedrooms and which can accommodate up to six people.

There are no 3 bedroom units at Point Pleasant.
The Superior Suites (1 Bedroom Condo) sleep 4 and the 2 Bedroom Suites sleep 6.

There are several 3BR condos at Cowpet and also at the Ritz.

Decided to stay with a sure thing and go back to Cowpet. We stayed there this year at the Elysian but need more room so found a 4 bedroom at Cowpet East I think it is, the one between Elysian and Ritz. Appreciate everyone's input.By the way, did hear that the East End Group or Boys got the gig at Elysian (Old Roberts and Ainsleys). They run Pesce and Cellar. They supposedly are opening the shack first then Roberts. I hope that is true because I loved Pesce and Cellar.
