Just wondering - is there any reason to not rent a car in St. Thomas - we are staying the last week in April (during carnival). We are staying at the Morningstar with the all inclusive plan. We won't need to be searching out restaurants but we do plan on playing at mohagany run at least once or twice and also going to St. John at least once or twice. During carnival time will a car be more trouble to find parking etc... any advise?
Thanks,
Tricia

I can't speak for STT, but plan to rent a car by the day on STJ as you will want to see the island and its too far to walk, taxis might be okay but for true, free exploration, a car is the way (probably cheaper anyway than a taxi) to go. We rent from Conrad Suttons and have done so for just a day, great rates, nice cars, great service. Most if not all of the rental places are walking distance from the ferry in Cruz Bay.
