Hi, I 'm a jazz saxophonist from michigan and looking for any jammin spots.Prefer jazz but Island music would do too with the proper libations. Any help anyone?
Thanks-doug
Which island? The Beach Bar on St. John has live jazz on Sundays from 4 to 7:30, I believe. They often welcome guest vocalists on stage...not sure about guest saxophonists, but I can't imagine that would be a problem.
Hey Doug, small world! I'm the vocalist who sat in with Paul Keller's big band at the Firefly a couple of weeks ago ... the night you sat in too!
My wife and I will be in STT from Feb 22-27. We're also on the hunt for live music. Let me know if you have any luck.

You did not reply as to what island. I listened to a live band when going to the brunch at Miss Lucy's on st john where there was a group of two playing jazz. keyboard, flute, e flat sax and guitar. They were good---or it could have been the rum telling me that! They play at several locations on st john.
Ok--I dug out the card and it s rich greengold. website www.richgreengoldmusic.com. We got back a week ago now and am getting used to WI weather again.
On STT, Latitude 18 has open mic every Tuesday night.
Doug-
You are making me crazy!! The BIG question here is WHAT ISLAND!??? Anyway, my hubby and I will be in St. Thomas 2/23 and also love sax and live music. Everyone, please keep me posted as to where and when the music will be. Since we'll be in St. Thomas in the evening, St. John would be out of the question for us.
Thanks!! Gail
P.S. Doug, I have close friends in Grand Rapids, MI... are you anywhere near there?
