Thinking about spending a few days in mid May and was wondering about bugs and the humidity at that time of year. From what I've seen elsewhere bugs are pretty much year round, how about the humidity? will it be too hot for someone from N.E.?
Does anyone know where the Concordia Eco-Tents are located and how they compare to the ones at Maho? I can't find a map at their site.
Hello Bob,
May isn't overbearing hot... August-September can be. Bugs are around all year round. Mosquitos get bad after lots of rain... May is the 5th rainiest month here. You might visit the weather section for more details; avg. temps, max and min temps, rainfall, water temps.

Concordia Eco-tents are, IMHO, much better than Maho. They are on a hill overlooking Salt Pond on the S.E. side of the island. There is plenty of room between them, so you still feel private. They are spacious, clean, and very ecologically conscious. I wrote a review of them on this site: http://stjohn.wheretostay.com/property/274.html

Thanks for the reply, I had read review before and thought it might be the same Marty. I'll have to look into it to see if it's practical, I don't want to bring much stuff with me. I'll be staying just down the road from Concordia I beleive at the Tradewinds Villa the week before. I'll see if they have a list of what they provide and what is suggested I bring.
Thanks
FYI, when Stanley Selengut's lease runs out on Maho (next year I think), the owning family of the Maho complex wil not continue its operation. I believe Stanley will still be running Concordia though. I'm sure others have more info on all this.
