From reading various posts about air fares it seems that you have to spend a lot of internet time checking and rechecking on a daily basis for reasonable prices which pop up one day and are gone the next. There have been several recent posts on the subject with visitors latching on to inexpensive flights but sometimes with several interchanges. Good luck and cheers!

Fares are up and dowm. On Spirit you need to look every day and register for their alerts on fares. The flights out of AC (in fact anywhere in fulthe us) all stop in Ft. Lauderdale. Then the flight leaves from there to STT. But be careful Spirit does not have baggage agreements with the major airlines (Cont, US Air, AA). We have flown Spirit several times, but from AC. We got fars as low as 49 round trip to STT from FLL.

But you need to check every day then but you need to set a price for which you will fly. We have tickets for Jan6-April 4 for 380 from EWR on Continental. But watch uoi as there is a fee everytime yo take off and land. So a non stop may be a better but.

What I have found out is that US air never seems to have a good price. But I keep looking.

Justin:

Spirit starts flying daily to STT from Atlantic City on Nov 13th.......the fare for Nov 13, returning on Nov 20th...$348. + $62.30 taxes & fees...total $410.30. Spirit does run specials...sign up for their e-mail special fares. The only problem that I see with Spirit is that they charge $20. for each bag (each way)....$10 if your pre-purchase & for reserving seats.

Continental out of Newark is cheaper with mid week fares (Nov 12/Nov 19) at $298. + $62.30 taxes & fees...total $360.30. First bag is free...no charge for seating.

Remember....you can't avoid the taxes & fees.....so look for the base price.

It's not difficult to explore these fares.....Continental has a great web site that allows for multiple day searches.

The $298. round trip (plus taxes & fees) sounds like a good deal.

Keep in mind that mid week fares are lower.
