hey, my second time using this. Anybody use the Odessa villa by Cruz Bay? It's supposed to be close to the water - do people seem to like being nearer the water or up higher with the views. Is there that much difference with the cooler air, less mosquitos? Any other pros or cons? Or recommendations? Traveling with my sons 25,22,19 and daughter 17 sometime in October. Thanks
Tree,
Personally, we prefer to stay somewhere in the middle between being right on the water and being "high up." A little altitude brings great views, but we still like being close enough to hear the waves breaking. I've never stayed at this particular villa, but you can always contact the rental agency you're thinking of working with and usually they can help you make a selection. (We use www.caribbeanvilla.com and totally recommend them. They feature "last minute travel" sales - may be a great deal for you since you're planning to go so soon.) In October, we've never had a problem with mosquitoes & the sea breezes are awesome.
With the ages of your sons and daughter, it seems like you will be spending a lot of time away from your villa exploring. So make sure you rent a car!
