In case you didn't make it thru the earlier 3 page post , AC on CNN tonight , is focusing on the VI's, hmm maybe his presence caused the arrest? or is KC on island? Just kidding, not trying to stir up trouble, lighten up people!
What a waste of time and sleep that was. Nothing new, same old thing.
Did they air the program? I stayed on CNN for about 15 minutes but they were showing the Utah Mine tragedy instead of Anderson Cooper.
I wonder what you expected, Connie. An hour-long expose crammed full of the sort of speculation and rumor that has pervaded this thread?
It was fluffy - not investigative journalism at all. I expected it to be short (15 mins), but be more factual - not fluffy. I'm just glad they made an arrest and hope they carry out the others.
STT...i didn't know what to expect, but it was very short and no more information then what has been on this board...just as you said. Jeez
My point exactly, Connie. "Information" as opposed to speculation and rumor.
And, Blu, why would it be assumed that this would have been a cause for "investigative journalism?" My assumption was that it would be a news item and that's what it was, pure and simple and straightforward.
I expected more of the story that she had been telling. Evidently they did not fall into her trap and did a basic report to appease their connections I suppose. Or, because of the mine collapse, they found that to be more newsworthy.

STTResident, the segment on the Cockeyne murder was under 360s "Keeping Them Honest" franchise, which is supposed to expose government corruption, miscarriages of justice, etc. It wasn't meant to be a staightforward news show - that's the whole point of the show. That's why I expected it to be what I said - because that is what it is supposed to be....and ususally is.
If anyone is familiar with the show, they might be surprised by what we saw last night. I suspect, as Ron noted, the mine collapse might have taken precedence, as it should have.
One visitor being killed in the VI is not CNN worthy news in the states - never has been. It's the all of the stuff wrapped around it that is news.
Blu: Guess I missed the veiled innuendo, sorry! Tend to view mainstream news with a bit of scepticism given their sponsors. Cheers, dear!
I did PM you again about that pepper thing but no response again!!!
STTResident, CNN has now become "mainstream" news?
