What do I see when I look around Big Maho? I see beauty> What do some others see? A lot of unused land with development potential.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! What can we do to stop this?
There have been a lot of changes since we first went to STJ in the mid-80s and I don't find many of them to be improvements. I do still enjoy it there, but I'm often filled with nostalgia for how it used to be. Of course the first time we went, we met people who told us how nice it used to be 10 years before that.
And I'll bet your hometown hasn't changed a bit in those twenty years, right?? 😉
Actually, the saving grace of St John is the National Park. Yes, the areas outside of the park have become more crowded and the inholdings will soon be developed, but there still are many acres to enjoy.
Ten years ago the BVI were the undeveloped islands. Now it is St John (and probably St Croix.)
Paradise Lost?
Maybe not...but we are losing it piece by(buy) piece. Thank God for the Parks System.
How about the changes in Coral Bay? Wow! Lots of new building and stuff going on there. And now they want to build housing in Calabash Boom! The editorial in St John Source sums it up well. Yikes!
