Is it possible to anchor in Lindberg Bay? We are exhanging guests on an extended charter and thought that would be convenient to the airport. I don't think I've ever seen boats at anchor in there and it occurred to me that there may be restrictions. Anybosy know?
According to the Crusing Guide "Lindbergh Bay is a fairly satisfactory overnight anchorage and puts you in easy waling distance of the airport in case you are meeting someone." Remember, you must go into the hotel areas or the park area and walk to the airport. There is no dinghy facility at the airport.
Pamela.
Thanks Pan, Are there Dingy docks at the hotels? and would you say it would be safe to leave the dingy and the boat to go into town for the day? or for evening festivities?
I don'y believe there are dinghy docks - you would just pull the dinghy up to the beach or anchor it out and wade in. I wouldn't leave the dinghy there but dinghy on in to the waterfront and tie up at the coast guard dock or use the dinghy dock at Crown Bay marina.
Pamela.
Thanks again Pam, Can you tell me where the coast guard dock is?pamela wrote:

On the waterfront across from the Vendor's Plaza (the one with the Blue tents)

Hello,
Pamela - is there a time limit for leaving a dinghy at the dinghy dock at Crown Bay or a charge??

Islander,
There is a two hour courtesy time limit for dinghy's under 12 feet. This can be extended if you are on property.
Pamela.
Thanks Pamela!! 🙂
