I stayed at Amazing Villas this year and it was very nice and they had the best pricing
I could find on St. Thomas. In fact I don't think there is a nicer place for the money on the entire island. You can see lots of photos at www.amazing-villas.com

I had a great time and my room was fantastic. It had a brand new kitchenette with a small fridge, coffeemaker, and a microwave, so I could eat what I wanted to for breakfast and lunch.

The pools were brand new and beautiful. I spent most of my time at the beach with a book. The beach was clean and there were plenty of beach chairs available. You could get snorkel gear for no charge to use during your trip. The owner also lined up a fishing trip for me that was great. I caught my first Dorado, what a hoot!

The Amazing Villas was on the grounds of the Renaissance Grand Beach Marriott and we had access to all of this hotels' facilities.

The Spa was very nice, and the Amazing Villas staff was great. It was a great place and I will definitely come back.

Thank you very much for the info. Do you recall pricing for activites - ie - fishing trip/parasailing etc? Could you walk to any shopping areas from Amazing Villas? We are going to be renting a vehicle but only for half the trip as we are staying one week on st thomas and one week on st john. Thanks a lot Gretchen!

Cassandra,

You can't easily walk to shopping areas from Amazing Villas. You are maybe a 7 minute drive from Tutu Shopping (grocery, mall) and about 10 minutes in the other direction from Red Hook. 7 minutes by car... which seems close and it is but not really for walking, steep road up and down for Tutu, and curvy road for Red Hook.

I went fishing with "Killin Time Charters" with Capt. Bezzle and I believe it was $350 for a half day trip. He was really friendly and I caught tuna , dorado, rainbow runner, and bonito in just a few hours. The tuna pulled so hard, I could barely reel them in. His phone number is 340-777-7224. leave a message since he's most likely out fishing.

I didn't go para-sailing so don't know what that cost. Most of the shopping is in Red Hook, downtown and at havensite where the cruise ships come in. You definately need a car, taxis are to expensive for more than a trip or two.

Hope this helps, and have a great time
