does anyone know of an alternative method of travel (other than flying) to get from the U.S. to St. Thomas?

info on "short term cruises" or "cruise and stay" options would be helpful.
thanks

A boat would be the only other way...unless you are a REALLY good swimmer! Haha! Seriously, though, I've heard rumors of people that have arranged with the cruise lines to get off on STT and then get back on the next week. Whether it's true or not, I am not sure, but that may be one thing to look at. Or, you might try finding a boat that is coming here and offer to crew on it. I know several people that got here that way.

I to have heard that people have come from miami on a cruise ship and the stayed for a week and went back to miami on another ship, but I also was told that they were required to purchase 2 cabins. This was all before 9/11 and I am not sure how it would be handled know, I don't think that they will let you on and off the boat like that.
