I need some advise on picking an airport to depart from...I live in NE pa (scranton wilkes barre area) and usually fly out of Philadelphia.stay at the holoday inn the night before and get shuttled. I see the airfairs for Newark, JFK and LA guardia are somewhat cheeper..any advise on how easy it is to get their and where to stay is greatly appreciated we are leaving for PARADISE in June for a week..as always, thanks in advance for the help...

We found an amazing price on Continental for July from Newark! They were great to work with; they actually held six seats for us while we checked with the rest of the family! We are taking a limo to Newark because by the time we take two cars and pay parking and gas, it would almost add up to the price of the limo! How fun will that be..get the party going early. So check around! You might find a great deal! (We are in the Allentown area, but I grew up in Scranton!) If you choose to drive; it is not a bad drive, just take the PA. turnpike south to Allentown and go east on 78!

Hi, We are a group from Scranton going in July - 20 people - all family. We got great rates with American Airlines of 260.00 back in September. We are renting a party bus to take us. Let me know if you want the name. Not too bad since we are spitting 18 ways. Much cheaper than 5=6 cars and paying parking, gas and tolls. We are staying at the Villa ENchantment.

Phila Airport - if you stay at the Ramada Phila Airport they have a special deal for over night stay & seven days of free parking. If you go to their wedsite you can print out for discount rate for extra days of parking on their lot. Also the offer free airport pick up & drop off.
Also if you access Phila Park & Ride website the have several hotels & motels that offer special deals.

Which of the 2 (Newark or Phlliy) is a closer drive? (We are about halfway between you and Newark- hour drive to Newark at very early morning hours). I haven't been to Philly airport but of the 3 GreaterNYC airports, Newark is very easy to get to and around. Like you and Traveling man, we have been doing the park-N-fly and there are a good half dozen of those around Newark. We stayed at Radisson in Carteret, NJ (about a 20min shuttle).
And we like Continental.
