Our flight gets in at 10:15pm. We would like to catch the 11pm or midnight ferry to STJ. Waiting for the taxi to fill and stops along the way, would there be any worries of not making the last ferry for the night? Thanks

You should be ok to make a mid night ride but an 11 will be close. It will take about 20 minutes for the luggage and about a twenty to thirty min ride to red hook. Make sure that the driver knows that you are trying to make the 11. I did not know that there was a mid night ferry. Better make sure that it is still running.

Good luck.

How do I find out for sure if there is a midnight ferry to STJ? We are not checking in any luggage so that should save some time, but I still don't want to take the chance of not making it if there is no midnight.

There is a midnight ferry to STJ - have taken it many times when returning home on the 10:35pm AA flight

Hearing from someone with experience taking the midnight ferry is good; or you can check above under the quick links in the banner at the top of the forum page for a posted ferry schedule. If you still really don't feel secure that a midnight ferry runs, on that ferry schedule page is a phone number to call the ferry operators and ask them for yourself.

With no checked luggage you should be fine. Perhaps there'll be a taxi filling only with Red Hook passengers going directly to the ferry.
