For those of you that will be flying this week...just got back from our airport and security has beefed up. Random car checks, searched laptop bag thoroughly! Glad that their on higher alert, but want to warn you all to add a bit more time.

I read article in online paper about STT airport airconditioning was down and it was taking an extended time to fix - - - - meanwhile, airport employees & passengers were enjoying pretty extreme heat inside the gate area. Is the air conditioning fixed yet?

Have to rely on locals for the STT airport. I was referring to the mainland airports.

FL...we were in STT airport back in late May and the A/C was horrible then.

Glad to hear that it's up and running. Left last Friday and the planes were delayed 2-3 hours due to weather, the airport was crowded with hot fussy tourist, fussy agents and very poor security. Glad to hear that's better too. Other than the flight home, I still love STT and Point Pleasant. Very sad to see how bad Sapphire looked. Too bad nothing stays the same.
