I flew American last trip down and I've been scouting prices for a return trip sometime in the next year and WOW was I surprised at how airfare to STT has gone up since July. I fly from DFW and it's up 200-300 depending on the carrier from what I paid this past summer. I've noticed slightly cheaper flights through USAir and for another destination, ATA, which I think is AirTran??? Have any of you flown USAir or AirTran, for that matter? I may have to jump to a cheaper airline to get to come and that's making me a tad nervous.... Experiences anyone???
ATA is not AirTran, it's American Trans Air. But neither ATA nor AirTran go to St. Thomas though... You should check www.kayak.com if you haven't already. It's a web site that automatically checks all airline websites so you don't have to go hunting down fares yourself.
We flew USAir from Providence last year (through Charlotte) and everything went like clockwork. We are flying with them again this year in January. We have no qualms about flying with them again.
