Just re booked for refund voucher for travel from NY JFK to STT non stop r/t price for ticket flying out on a Monday and returning on a Friday (March 2 - 13) is 220.70 with all fees and taxes, figured if anyone is on the fence now is the time to buy...seems when you fly is a big factor, friends who are flying Sat to Sat are still at 549.00 p/p r/t.

That Mon. to Fri fare is fantastic, but tell your friends that today the Sat. to Sat direct flight from JFK to STT is only $320.77, including taxes and fees. At least for flying in August. You might want to advise them to check and possibly get a refund also.

nborsodi, my tickets are from American Airlines. I think I just assumed that Kevin's were also on AA, as that's the airline that is mostly used by people I know for a non-stop flight from JFK to STT.

I have found that Delta also flies non-stop from JFK to STT. I plugged in my August dates on Delta.com and found non-stop flights for $367.70.

What I find interesting is that Delta has $17.50 in taxes and fees and American has $49.70 in taxes and fees. I think the difference is that Delta treats the flight as domestic and AA considers it international, and charges international tax and fees. Does anyone know why there is such a discrepancy?

Interesting question. I have 2 travel itineraries coming up, flying Jet Blue out of White Plains to Ft Lauderdale next week and from JFK to STT on American at the end of March. The tax for the 1st is about 10% and the 2nd 20%. The St. Thomas flight tax really jumped out at me, seems pretty steep.

We are flying on Feb 21st - 28th (Sat to Sat) and we are paying ~$400 on Delta....when we booked, American #655 was much higher (well over $500). From what I"ve seen, that's a pretty decent price for Feb when not booking 10 months out.

Delta also has the option to "Pay with Miles" which is a great way to go if you can't get a super saver ticket. We basically used 100k miles for 3 tickets and paid not quite $200.

We're flying from Logan, booked USAir in June for next week Thurs - Wed. Price at the time for 2 round trip over $800, now at $651 but Priceline doesn't care that the price dropped. Price includes trip insurance. Bonnie
