We will be in STJ for a week and will have a couple of hours to kill the day we go back to the airport. I have never spent any time on STT and wondering if it would be worth it to try to stop in the historical section of Charlotte Amalie with my adult daughter on the way back to the airport. The problem is, we would have our luggage with us (we will be travelling fairly light). Any suggestions? Thanks.
You can leave your bags at the Co-op, across from Vendor's Plaza, for $2. Stop by and say "Hi" to me at the "Information" booth on the waterfront, in front of A.H. Risse!
Wow, I think this might be exactly what I am looking for!
I too have a little time to kill on the day of my returning flight. The rental car needs to be back by 9:30 on STJ and the flight out is not until 3:30. Assuming I need to be at the airport around 1:30?? leave some time for the ferry and taxi(s) and it still leaves a little time to kill.
Marty do you have more info on this service? Everyday? Secure?
Thanks
Very secure, open 7 days a week, but only till 12 on Sundays.
The taxi service that picks up on the waterfront will secure your bags in their cabs until it's time for the trip to the airport. Not sure that the co-op is doing baggage checking anymore. I remember a note from them earlier this year in regard to that.

Clarification on the Native Arts and Crafts Cooperative store holding bags... they only do it for folks going to/from the airport (luggage). They are open Monday through Friday from 9am-4pm, Saturday from 9am-2pm and are closed on Sundays. They charge $1 for small luggage, $2 for medium luggage and $3 for large luggage.
