I am looking for advice/recommendations for renting a 4WD in St John (Cruz bay) in mid-June for 7 days.
I would prefer a trustworthy 4WD vehicle with A/C (not an open Jeep) - and relatively close to the ferry dock - and of course at a reasonable cost.
Also, I understand that due to difficult parking in Cruz Bay it is best to rent from a place that allows you to park on their lot. Correct?
TIA
Robin
10 weeks away!!!
Also, need phone #s and/or web site URLs, and expected costs.
TIA, Robin
If you are looking for mid June this year I would suggest calling as of yesterday !!! I would start with Penns then St John Car rental then work my way through the list. Good luck 🙂

We're renting a Jeep Wrangler in late June from Conrad Sutton for $390/wk. I think the Grand Vitara/Jeep Liberty are generally around $420-$450/week. Pia is right - you need to book ASAP!! I booked a couple of weeks ago and the 3 or 4 companies I checked with were already out of certain car types for that time period. Here are a few websites...

Yikes! I will get on this right away... thanks, I thought it was off-season...
That's what I thought too but I'm assuming it's because of Carnival (this is our first trip to STJ).
Even though it is "off season" things don't really slow down until the last of July, August and September when the island is soooo quiet. It is quieter in June than in January but certain area's of the tourist industry (ie car rental) can still be quite busy - especially if you need a certain type of vehicle.
