You only pay the normal adoption fee, all paperwork needed is completed by HS for American Airlines, HS even loans you the pet carrier! No worries if they are too big to fit under the seat, they can fly safely in the cargo hold area for free too! Sounds like a great idea. Do you know how long this will go for? We fly AA to Miami but then we switch to Delta to fly home. I am thinking Delta would not honor the free pet flight.
Hi Bobob! This AA offer is for an indefinite time! I would imagine that if you wanted to adopt a pet, you could take AA up on the free flight to MIA then have to pay the Delta way to your home. The shelter has lots of lovable animals ready to be adopted. Be sure to stop by the new shelter (by Cost U Less) which should be open in the next week or two, stop by EARLY in your vacation so that the necessary vet visits, shots, neuter/spay can be done in time for your departure.
It is a simple, painless process at the airport-everything is done for you. Just show up, hug and kiss your new puppy/kitten, thank the HS volunteer and AA, and then off you go!
