I am thinking about adding 3 nights in front of our STJ trip to spend on VG and I am clueless. Do you still fly into STT and take ferry over? I know you'd have to watch ferry schedules closly if doing this. If not, where does one fly into? Any experiences/Must sees/do's (besides Baths)? Looking at one of the Guavaberry villas. I appreciate any input.
It is possible to fly into San Juan then take one of the local island flight directly to Beef Island Airport on Tortola. As for the return it could be booked on an inter island from STT to San Juan then home. Cape Air I think is one of the airlines that has regular service to both islands. Also alot of times the flights to San Juan are less expensive in either case it is worth checking. One other way to see the BVI's would be to do a short term charter boat three or four days around the BVI's then back to St John. If you ever thought you might want to try a charter its a good way to ease into one without committing a full week to a boat. When you add in the cost a meals drinks etc that are included with most charters its not any more expensive than staying on land.
Charter was my first thought but about the same $$$$. Really? I looked into it just a little and it seemed like quite a bit more. Maybe I'm looking in the wrong places?
