The Virgin Islands lost one of its most talented and brilliant musicians today Nicholas "Nick" Friday. Daddy Friday as he was affectionately called was a staple in the music scenes and the lead vocal singer in the mesmerizing and illustrious Jamband. The band traveled extensively throught the U.S and the Caribbean and had a loyal following. Mr. Friday's death is a moumental lost to the entire community and world. Although gone, his legacy will live on through his music.

Blessings and respect goes out to Friday for his huge impact to the structure and society of the virgin and surrounding islands. Without jamband, life as we have enjoyed it throughout the decades might not have been the same today. It is my pleasure and I'm sure others would agree with me.... that he should be given an honor unlike any other for his hard work and perserverance. The man {DADDY FRIDAY-JAMBAND} actually brought us together as a people and demanded that we enjoyed ourselves to the fullest extent of his effort to do so. As a small boy born in ST. THOMAS V.I., I am saddened by this unfortunate loss.

AH WE RUN TINGS!!!!!

My condolences goes out to your family. You brought great joy to so many people. I close my eyes and I hear your voice. I put on my JAMBAND cd's and dance all night. Daily my children tell each other "my business is not your business". I think that forever this will be their theme song. God only picks the best to be angels. The last time I saw you laughed at how many times you had seen my cousin and I in the past three months. I am glad that I traveled to ST.Thomas, Atlanta, DC and Virginia. My suitcase was packed to see you in Miami. Your sweet lyrics united island people and "the Yankee people" under one roof. No one but you could command people to jump off the waterfront, horsechip, encourage women to "share your man with another woman"and to "smash big toes". Forever no one but y-o-u Friday.
